Since its birth in 2020, American Handball Associates' mission in the sporting world has been to “raise awareness for the sport of handball in the USA”. We have done that in a number of ways, from print and video press releases to our annual Handball Heroes legacy banquets to our continuing efforts to produce Army Champs: Brothers with Arms, a proposed feature documentary about America’s first Olympic handball team in 1972.  Despite our efforts, the sport remains mired in anonymity in this country, ignored by the mainstream and even offbeat media, as it rolls toward an Olympic showcase in a little more than two years, painfully unprepared.

We're taking a new approach between now and 2028

American Handball Associates will leave the Road to Los Angeles and the opportunities and responsibilities that come along with it to the Powers That Be as we forge our own Path to LA28, a journey that both supports our mission statement and targets specific areas of action that take advantage of our experience and skills.  The path that we intend to pursue over the next two years and beyond involves these four main components and goals:

\1)  Project Portugal

      •  Bringing Andebol TV (Portugal) to America

with an American Play-by-Play Announcer (JD Orr)

     • Creating the Javier Garcia Cuesta Handball Academy

a fully immersive summer training program aimed at American Athletes

2)   Handball Heroes Legacy Banquets

       •  Reviving our Legacy Banquets honoring USA Handball's past

      • Returning the Cavy and Founders Awards to Prominence

3)   Army Champs

      • Finishing production of our film about America's first Olympic handball team in 1972, a team made up of GIs

4)   American Handball Haus

           • Regularly producing our handball breakdown show for   international  events like the IHF Men's & Women's 2027 World Championships, EHF  Final4s and the 2027 Pan-American  Chamipsnhips
